Western Division Supervisor (Orland Park, IL Location)
The South Cook County Mosquito Abatement District (SCCMAD) is seeking talented candidates for the position of Division Supervisor at the Western Division. The District is a local government agency that surveys and controls mosquitoes, disease vectors and vector-borne diseases in South Cook County, Illinois.
Directly supervises the field program and related support services. Evaluates on a continuing basis the work performed by employees adjusting as necessary to ensure the success of the program and compliance with district policies.

DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS
- Knowledge of local government operations, ability to lead, supervise and evaluate personnel. Thorough knowledge of tactics and equipment used in integrated mosquito management. A thorough understanding of the public health aspects of vector-borne diseases.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 10 years prior experience in pest management of with some time spent in mosquito control or a minimum of 3 years’ experience with a Mosquito Abatement District or municipal mosquito organization. Possess a valid Applicator License from the Illinois Department of Agriculture. Possess a valid Driver’s License.
